Egg Cream Mask Hydration

This Month’s Lineup – January 2017

Ugh, I can’t believe it’s already a new year! I’m hoping for a good year for my skin especially since so far the winter in Japan is killing it. Anyways, I have added a few new products to my list but for the most part it’s staying stable!

Step 1: Oil Based Cleanser – Shiseido Aqual Label Deep Clear Oil Cleansing

It’s finally time to say good bye to my Belif Problem Solution toner… but I definitely plan to buy it again in the near future.

Purchase @ Kiehl’s

Step 5: Essence – Kiehl’s Iris Extract Activating Essence Treatment

This is also a sad good bye. I was really enjoying using the SANA Natural Resource Essence Milk but for now will be moving to my sample from Kiehl’s for the remainder of the month!

Purchase @ Kiehl’s

Step 6: Serums, Boosters and Ampoules – Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate & SANA HoneyShea all in one Serum

Shiseido Ultimune

I’ll be using these two depending on the condition of my skin! In general the Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate for the night and the SANA Honey Shea Serum when I need a little boost of moisturizer.

FAB Purifying Mask with Red Clay

Review – FAB Skin Rescue Purifying Mask With Red Clay

FAB Purifying Mask with Red ClayOne of my favorite products from FAB is their Skin Rescue Purifying Mask With Red Clay. It’s a bit messy but definitely works wonders for my skin! FAB products in general are great for my skin and I think it’s pretty neat considering they are such a new skin care company. First Aid Beauty (FAB) was founded in 2009! Their mission is to create simple yet effective skincare products that address common skin challenges. They seem to focus on textures, sensitive skin and long last products. It hasn’t even been 10 years but I think they are fulfilling their mission pretty well!

Their Skin Rescue Purifying Mask With Red Clay will detoxify the skin and remove impurities. It also tightens pores, softens and improves skin texture and balances/controls oil production. It has a red gooey texture and doesn’t require too much in order to spread over the face. After about 20 minutes the mask will be dry enough to easily pull off.

My Experience

At first I was kind of scared of the texture of this product. It’s thick gooey texture grossed me out and I wasn’t sure exactly how much was needed to evenly spread out over my face. When you use too much, it takes forever to dry! If you use too little it doesn’t have much effect. After a couple tries I was better able to find the perfect amount for my skin and I really enjoyed the results. It definitely evens out your skin tone and tightens pores with only a couple uses!

I love the results of the Skin Rescue Purifying Mask With Red Clay but sometimes the peel off is a little unsuccessful, especially if you don’t apply the right amount. I also find the red clay part to be extremely messy if you’re not careful. You might end up making your sink red! Also, this mask is a little expensive. At $30/bottle it’s not something that is worth purchasing often. I would maybe buy it once a year and use it 1~2 times a week depending on the need but considering the texture and messiness I tend not to use it that much.

Where to Purchase

This product can easily be found at Sephora! If you’re a Sephora addict like me, this is the best place to buy it for sure. Sometimes they will even offer free samples of the products if you would like to try before actually buying the full size (which I highly recommend).

FAB’s Skin Rescue Purifying Mask With Red Clay can also be found on their direct website. They offer free shipping on orders over $50 and if you sign up for their newsletter you can get 15% off.
